RADIO FREQUENCY AND ULTRASOUND CAVITATION TREATMENTS
What is cavitation?
Cavitation is a non-invasive (surgery free) body shaping technique that reduces volume by eliminating cellulite and localised fat deposits in the abdomen, hips, flanks, arms, inner thighs and knees. It combines deep tissue heating and cooling with mechanical stretching and massaging.
What are the advantages over other methods?
The benefits are a tightening and smoothing of the skin due to collagen stimulation and increased blood circulation of the treated areas. The treated areas have a minimised appearance of cellulite and lumpy skin , tissue tightening and fat shrinkage. The other main advantage is that we can choose the specific areas of the body that we want to work. It could be said that it is a technology which allows us to concentrate on cellulite selectively.
Can it be used on all parts of the body?
It cannot be applied to all parts of the body. Under no circumstances can it be applied to the head or face, neck, breasts, the thorax, navel, forearm, joints, genitals, back, ankles or lymph glands.
Does cavitation reduce weight and volume?
Cavitation eliminates clusters of fat, which have little weight, consequently your body loses volume and sculpts those localized area that don’t seem to improve with diet and exercise.
Is cavitation effective on orange peel syndrome?
Yes, because it destroys adipose cells that cause fat storage.
What happens during a Ultrasound Cavitation treatment ?
A fully trained therapist will apply a gel and the ultrasound hand piece onto your skin. The ultrasound cavitation hand piece once in contact with your skin delivers ultrasonic low level waves that travel at high speed cycles compressing and expanding forming pressure effects around the liquid molecules and fat cells. This continuous process will result on microbubbles that increase in size and disrupt fat cells membranes by bursting and releasing are removed by draining from the lymphatic system. Cavitation should never cause pain as it gentle heat and quite relaxing . Some users may detect a slight buzzing sound during its application.
How long is each session and how many treatments will I need?
Each session is approximately 40 minutes and between 3 and 6 sessions are recommended but obviously this will vary from person to person. The treatment is completely safe with other procedures such as Cryolipo and Radio Frequency treatments. In fact the results are maximised when taken together as a package
How much time should be left in between ultrasound cavitation sessions ?
The body will eliminate the treated fat area in approximately 3 to 5 days. Ideally you should have a treatment after 4 – 5 days .
After how many sessions will I begin to see results?
You should notice results after the first session and considerable difference after a course of 3-6 sessions
, however results may vary depending on the individual.
Does cellulite reappear after using Cavitation?
Although cavitation ensures effective and long-lasting results, we cannot guarantee against cellulite reappearing. To prevent the reappearance cellulite we recommend a balanced diet, regular physical exercise and maintenance sessions using cavitation.
Is it necessary to combine Cavitation with a sports activity?
No, this is not strictly necessary but mild exercise of walking , exercise bike, swimming or any other aerobic exercise for at least 30 minutes is very helpful or lymphatic massage can also be very useful.
When is it inadvisable to use Cavitation?
If you are pregnant or think you might be, during lactation, undergoing fertility treatments, if you have any kind of heart disease, if you suffer from skin problems, osteoporosis, fibromyalgia, malignant tumours, hypertension, high cholesterol levels, diabetes, kidney problems, physical shortcomings, varicose veins, metal implants or prostheses, epilepsy, long-term treatment with medications: anti-inflammatories, anticoagulants, antibiotics antihistamines depression, psychiatric or psychological treatment, liver problems (fatty liver) irritable bowel syndrome. Also not advisable to use during menstruation as it may cause increased bleeding. May increase your levels of cholesterol. It can also not be used if you have hearing implants.
What counts as a treatment area?
If we treat 1 area such as abdomen then that is one treatment, however both hips would count as 2 treatments.
What do you feel after the session?
The benefits of Ultrasound cavitation is that there is few side effects. The treated areas may feel slightly tender and redness for a short period afterwards but it is very rare to have extended redness or pain after the treatment. You can resume normal activities immediately although avoid heavy exercise for 24 hours.
